Details:
This is a Lorch LLK lathe(made in 1969) from a retired clock repairers workshop, the LLK has a 3 phase motor mounted to the left and behind the headstock so that its V-pulley lines up with a countershaft incorporated inside the lower part of the headstock casting. The final drive to the lathe spindle is by a flat belt running over 3-step pulleys, the countershaft assembly running in bearings held on a circular, eccentric plate that allows the belt tension to be slackened for changes of speed and adjustment, although with the inverter being adjustable its not really necessary to change the belts.
The single to 3 phase inverter is wired to a 4 pole socket on the bench so that either the lathe or the milling attachment can be selected at any one time.
The lathe motor is 3 phase 600W, driven from a 240v Hitachi inverter with a stop/start and forward/reverse control box, this is mounted below the headstock.

The milling attachment has a pluggable 3 phase motor and the assembly is made up from another LL cross slide assy. with the top slide mounted vertically on an angle bracket it has lever feed for the x axis for wheel cutting, the spindle arbor takes a 1MT cutter adapter, the one fitted takes the 7mm bore Thornton cutters, some cutters will be offered to the new owner.

There is also a 60:1 dividing head on the back end of the lathe spindle which can be disengaged when not used, there is 4 different plates that can be fitted which will cover almost all conventional tooth counts. Also for wheel cutting there is a box of aluminium wheel mounts that attach to a 10mm flanged collet to be held in the main spindle.

This equipment is for collection only and if the bench itself is required, this can also be included in the sale, if it is removable from the basement workshop.
The bench itself is 32.5” wide x 19” deep x 32” high and the shelf unit will detach.
