Some time ago a number of site members were defrauded on this site by a member.

One other member and myself ( I do not know about the others ) reported this and the outcome is below.

Case Against: John Cummings
Unique Reference Number: 11EE0020916

I am writing to provide an update with regards to the above case.

A hearing took place on 23rd February 2017 at Peterlee Magistrates Court where the defendant pleaded guilty to the charges:

• Fraud by false representation x5

The defendant was sentenced to a Community Order which must be complied with by 22.2.18. This means that he will have to:

• Comply with any instructions of the Responsible Officer to attend appointments with the Responsible Officer or nominated person or to participate in any activity as required by the Responsible Officer up to a maximum of 10days
• Carry out unpaid work for 50hours within the next 12month, this work will be supervised by the Responsible Officer

Failure to comply with any part of a Community Order will result in the case being referred back to court. Courts view failure to comply with Community Orders as a serious matter. They have a range of ways in which they can deal with the failure. These include re-sentencing the offender for the original offences or a fine.

Compensation has been awarded to you by the court in the sum of £212.00 and there may be agreement that it can be paid in instalments. The offender must pay the Compensation Order to the court. The court will make payments when the money is received.
