Re: ebayscam alert: hardinge hlv-em in lewwick!!!!!!!

I messaged them requesting additional photos and what type of flood coolant they used.
I had a message back saying they could not ad more photos, I suggested they ad them to the original listing.
I also asked again about the flood coolant.
No reply-No surprise! roll

Like Ron Matthews I've also had an email from a Scott Haslam offering to send a cheque for my Whitehead combination sander and arrange collection etc but there a fishy smell about it  and like Ron I have decided to ignore the email. Seller beware!

Re: ebayscam alert: hardinge hlv-em in lewwick!!!!!!!

Looks very dodgy why only one photo? Photo looks to have been taken in a showroom so why only one? No feedback, and Belfast.  Has anybody reported it to eBay easy to do but I note it has got some bids. Can't quite see how this scam works as you are well protected provided you do all money via eBay and PayPal. I suppose at the end seller wants buyer to use bank transfer been there, no way to get your money back when lathe fails to show.

Re: ebayscam alert: hardinge hlv-em in lewwick!!!!!!!

Scammers are just looking for a mark, someone just gullible enough to part with their cash in the hope of a bargain.

I suspect this is the free shipping scam (note the mark is likely to be selected from the mainland GB)  i.e. the scammer offers free shipping if the money is paid in cash (or any instant tranfer method setup to a dodgy account) .

I could not find anyway to report it to ebay, so please feel free to inform them.
