Details:
The 'Mastiff' 4-cyliner 25cc petrol engine as made as a 'break' from larger, normally steam-related work.
The design is by LC Mason, a well-known contributor to the model engineering world.
At 82, I need to thin down a lot of items.
The engine is in a flat four configuration. Bores are 3/4" 7/8" stroke.
The work done is of the highest quality.
crankshaft is finished, as are its crankcase bearings
crankcase, machined from solid is largely complete.
conn-rods and flywheel are finished.
timing gears are complete. Valves part-finished
cylinder head part machined with cylinder liners fitted.
There are loads of material there to complete.
The is a full set of 'Model Engineer' articles that cover construction
Proceeds of sale to be donated to local food-bank and 'Home Workshop'.
Asking for best offers over £250.
Prefer collection because of weight. North Staffs. address.

This lathe was used to build a 4" Ruston and Proctor traction engine but was school or college before so not much wear at all
