Use correct sentience formatting rules, a space after the colon: semi-colon; comma, full stop. and exclamation! characters. NEW! logo after 10 years the tread board needed repainting, if any remember the old Green text logo might remember how the tread patten ended up becoming the background. Details: These are two 'Micro-Maag' bore gauge sets by 'Matrix' (Coventry Gauge and Tool Co Ltd). These work by advancing a tapered 'needle' on a micrometer into a 'head' containing three 'fingers', which expand with the taper of the needle. Given the slow taper of the needle, the resolution is extreme (0.00005" - ie 1/20 thou). Both sets are in extremely good condition - most items are in their, original, protective packing - suggesting that, if the sets have been used at all, only a very limited range has been used. Bot sets are in purpose-made, wooden, boxes - in very good condition. These are very high quality tools from one of the best regarded manufacturers. Set 1: Part number EA05, serial number A428, covers the range 1/4 to 1/2" (actually, 0.2465 to 0.5240). 11 'heads', 10 'needles', 2 extension pieces (to allow measurement further down the bore), ring gauge (3/8"), micrometer head and complete tool set (5 miniature spanners, a miniature screwdriver and even a magnifying glass - the parts are so small!). Set 2:Part number EB05, serial number B506, covers the range 1/2 - 1" (actually 0.4930 to 1.0480). 11 'heads', 10 'needles', 4 extension pieces (to allow measurement further down the bore), ring gauge (3/4"), micrometer head and complete tool set (4 miniature spanners, a miniature screwdriver). These sets would have cost thousands when new! £150 per set, or £250 for both, including postage

Details: Advert Number: 45078 Sincere thanks to all who kindly took the time to reply to my query regarding the problem with my height gauge. In the event the answer was that the head locking mechanism had seized and the knob wasn't turning to the full extent required (one full turn) so a but of effort loosened it and lube has now freed it up so that it is working again. As always - it's easy when you know how it's meant to work!!

Details: I've acquired an APE Microball height gauge but found that the scriber head seems to have lost the detent that engages with the gaps between the column balls when adjusting height. I'm at a loss as to how to dismantle the scriber head - there are 3 small pegs at 120 degrees around the 'knob' end of it which I assume need to be extracted to start the process but no obvious way to do it. Web search has not produced any data and the firm is no longer trading. Does anyone have any info on these or any parts diagrams that might give a clue? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Details: Very well made folder compared with the usual imported ones! Folds up to 16swg ( 1.5mm ) a lot of the new imported ones just go up to 1mm. Needs just another collar making for the hold down lever as the present one which a previous owner looks to have made doesn't allow the cam to pass the high point so you need to keep the hold down lever pressed down while folding. A simple enough job though, probably just relocate the handle position by drilling and tapping the collar to allow the handle to be in a slightly different position ( easier to understand when you see it! Collection only as it is heavy. Fitted to it's own stand, all the various things stored in the stand on the photos are nothing to do with it and are not included, only selling due to lack of use and space needed!

Details: I am trying to reassemble an early Myford clutch. I believe I have all the parts. I managed to find on the net a diagram showing some of the details (see image) - but it lacks any detail of the components and their assembly from the left hand end of the diagram. Can anyone help? thank you
Details: An Abwood tilting and swivelling vice in very nice condition, having been overhauled and painted by its previous owner. I bought it for one specific job and since then it's been sitting un-used on the bench. As I've now retired, and am concentrating on small items, it is time to reluctantly part with it as I can’t see me needing it again. The jaws are new replacements and unmarked, but there are a few "oops" marks on the top surface of the moving jaw body casting. These are cosmetic only. The bed is lightly scuffed from normal use but has not been abused. Please see the pictures. The jaw width is 6.25”, the depth from bed to top of jaw is 2.25”, and the opening is 4.5” maximum. It will tilt to 90 degrees. It's heavy, about 50 kilos, but it can easily be split into two sections to move about the workshop, the top section is about 30 kilos and the bottom about 20 kilos (see picture). Collection is much prefered, but I will consider shipping if necessary – I will need your delivery address to obtain a quote. Please be aware that UK mainland shipping is likely to be around £50 due to the weight.
