While I was working, I collected many sets of plans and materials for “retirement” projects. Having now retired I have simply too many projects, so I’m thinning them out a bit.

1) Over the years I’ve somehow managed to collect 5 sets of wheel castings(!) – only one set will be included, please see the picture and let me know which set you would like.
2) There are 3 “correct” Buffer Head castings, there is also which is smaller (I didn’t notice when I bought them). It should be possible to use it by minor adjustment of the buffer shank dimension; I would suggest machining this one first and if its satisfactory make the others to suit. Otherwise make the heads from BMS bar.

An Abwood tilting and swivelling vice in very nice condition, having been overhauled and painted by its previous owner. I bought it for one specific job and since then it's been sitting un-used on the bench. As I've now retired, and am concentrating on small items, it is time to reluctantly part with it as I can’t see me needing it again.
The jaws are new replacements and unmarked, but there are a few "oops" marks on the top surface of the moving jaw body casting. These are cosmetic only. The bed is lightly scuffed from normal use but has not been abused. Please see the pictures.
The jaw width is 6.25”, the depth from bed to top of jaw is 2.25”, and the opening is 4.5” maximum. It will tilt to 90 degrees.
It's heavy, about 50 kilos, but it can easily be split into two sections to move about the workshop, the top section is about 30 kilos and the bottom about 20 kilos (see picture).
Collection is much prefered, but I will consider shipping if necessary – I will need your delivery address to obtain a quote. Please be aware that UK mainland shipping is likely to be around £50 due to the weight.

Not had a lot of use and the battery is still good, it runs for a few hours.
Having to thin down on toys due to lack of space and we don't see our grandchildren much now they have moved to Somerset, (Please excuse the violins playing in the background!) it doesn't get much use now.
Generally as Maxitrak intended except the motors have been rewired with more suitable wire with spiral wrap to protect them and the fragile horns have been replaced with much stronger ones.
Happy to take more photos and answer more questions. Can be demonstrated running.

This is a 1958 Box ford lathe fitted with a BUD saddle and lead screw so can do power feed on the cross slide as well as along the bed separately from the lead screw nuts.
So it has the full spec of a BUD model Boxford.
The original lathe was 1958 and its V belt drive with 16 spindle speeds from 38 to 1300 RPM.
The bed is in good order and I was impressed by its accuracy when using it. It has a 41/2" swing and a no2 morse taper in the tailstock.
There is a full set of imperial change wheels. Some of these gears have a bit of rust showing but all are usable.
It also comes with a 4" 3jaw chuck with both sets of jaws. This runs dead true and all edges on all the jaws are mint and not damaged. There are two small notches on the chucks front corner on the body but these are not near the jaws slots and don’t affect its working.
There’s a 5" 4jaw independent chuck as new which may have never done a job its so clean and tight.
There’s a 71/2" faceplate.
There’s a genuine Jacobs ¹/₂" capacity tailstock chuck with perfect jaws and action and a key to suit it.
There’s a new boxed live centre made in Poland and a dead centre plus a no2 to no1 morse taper adaptor.
The motor fitted is a single phase British one and the whole lathe is refurbished, repainted and tested.
The base drip tray is 48" long by 20" deep.

The drip tray also acts as the main frame that its all mounted on included the motor unit and the lathe bed itself so is a heavy unit.
To collect I would be able to put it on your trailer or on a pick up or in a van using an engine lift.
You would need similar , a hydraulic lift or block and tackle your end to lift it on to your bench ready to bolt down and use. Its a heavy lump as is to transport as is but not a flimsy lathe when you want to use it.
I have to rehome the Boxford now and would prefer to sell as the complete unit it is rather than breaking it for spares even though that would still fetch more money in.

This is a very capable 8-Speed machine with Timkin roller bearings, power-crossfeed, and is in very decent condition. Repainted over Xmas and now semi-loosely back together so as to show the action and completeness. It comes with a variety of useful tools including a dozen Screwcutting Changewheels, 5" 3-Jaw Chuck, 4-1/4" 4-Jaw with Catch Plate to fit to Body, several Centers and Sleeves, a Roller Center, plus selection of Toolbits. The Motor is a full half-horsepower with emergency switch.
If wanted a 41" long steel splashback can go with it. Once bought, Delivery within 50 miles may be possible if assistance in lifting is given! Offers considered!

All in vgc (all except a couple are in the original plastic sleeves), a couple (literally) have very minor surface rust that will clean off easily.
