This is a Sunmore SP2217-III machine bought new from SPG tools in Hinkley.
Very similar to the Warco 16B.
The specification is as follows;
Drilling capacity 25mm
End mill capacity 16mm
Face mill capacity 63mm
Spindle MT3
Spindle stroke 50mm
Head tilt +- 90 degrees
Spindle speeds two speed belt drive electronically variable 50-2500RPM
Longtitudinal travel 490mm (X axis)
Cross travel 175mm(Y axis)
Vertical travel 280mm (Z axis).
T slots 3off 10mm
Motor brushless 750W, 1ph, 240v
Weight approx 125kg without control and stand.
The machine is mounted on a wooden stand with a coolant tray and a separate control box for the stepper motors. A 12v simple coolant system is fitted. A computer with a serial port, keyboard, mouse and screen already set up and working is included. The Linux CNC system using a serial port is far better than systems using USB ports as the input is immediate and not under the control of the operating system.
The original lead screws have been replaced with recirculating ball lead screws and the control is fitted with oversize stepper motors to ensure reliable positioning. The original lead screws and tool kit will come with it.
All paperwork detailing CNC set up and the machine handbook are with it.
I bought this machine to convert and use for producing accurate 2 and 3D profiles for aeromodelling but have since been ill and given up my modelling. The machine is fully operational but has had very little use. It has not been used for the past year.
To get out of the workshop door the machine will have to be lifted of the stand. All moving and transport will be the responsibility of the buyer.
A mobile tool trolley with a range of tooling and clamping is available for this machine separately.
Price: £2,250.00
Collection Only
