Details:
The final machine from my late Father-in-law’s estate is a LeBlond Regal 10” geared-head lathe, with sliding & surfacing power feeds and thread-cutting gearbox. It is mounted on the original cast iron stand. There are numerous accessories with the lathe, the main features of which are listed below.
Motor: Single phase 240V, lever-operated forward/reverse switch.
Work holding: Pratt 8” 3-jaw and Elliott 6” 3-jaw, both with internal and external jaws. Burnerd 8” 4-jaw chuck with reversible jaws. 8” slotted face plate, smaller plain face plate, spindle nose protector(?), home-made spindle indexing fixture. There is also a vertical slide (not sure what make).
Tool holding: original cross-slide plus two tee-slotted cross-slides (one currently fitted with digital vernier and remote read-out). 3-way and 4-way traditional tool posts. Quick-change tool post with 6 assorted tool holders. What looks like a Hemingway rear-mount tool post with 2-way tool holder.
Tooling: Assorted indexable tools and boring bars with assorted spare inserts. Several TCT tools, some unused, and numerous HSS tools ground to a variety of profiles. Two knurling tools and two parting tools. Tailstock live and dead centres, two drill chucks, with keys to suit, and a keyless chuck.
This venerable old lathe has produced some very accurate work in its time. If you need further information, want to view/test it, or want more photographs I can organise these on request.
Collection only, I’m afraid, but I can help with dismantling/loading.
