Details:
1. This is a late model Backgeared 3-1/2”x 24” Myford ML4, with Ball-Race Thrust Bearing, Cast Tray, Tumble Reverse, 4-Way Toolpost, Countershaft and a set of Screwcutting Gears. The Chuck is a Crown fitting the standard 1-1/8 x 12tpi Spindle. The machine uses a Morse 2 in the Headstock and comes with a Tailstock Drill. It has been extensively updated with a much larger Carriage Bed, and a new design of Apron to usefully change the Carriage hand ‘Feed’ direction. Have bought a 10” Halifax/Atlas, hence the sale. The total Swing into the ‘Gap’ gives a 10” diameter – 7” over the Bed.
2. A suitable brand new 1/2HP Motor is available separately if required, although a good 1/4HP British single phase period motor, only needing a mounting bracket, can be included free if selected.
Also available separately is an original Myford Cast-Iron Stand (with flying “M”) measuring 30”H x 30” L x 18” W – which may be disassembled for transporting. (Price: £35) See separate Home Workshop advert for photos. I might be able to deliver it locally for the petrol if required?
I will consider Offers for the Lathe and Stand as need the room!
