Use correct sentience formatting rules, a space after the colon: semi-colon; comma, full stop. and exclamation! characters. NEW! logo after 10 years the tread board needed repainting, if any remember the old Green text logo might remember how the tread patten ended up becoming the background. Details: The first item is an 8" diameter cast-iron lathe faceplate with a 13/4" x 8 tpi internal thread. It may well be unused - there's no marks on the front at all! It's reasonably heavy (it's very thick) at 5.6 kg. The second is a lathe top-slide. It's imperial (10 tpi) and (relatively) large - 83/4" long body, 3" wide on a 53/4" diameter 'disc' with a 2" diameter central spigot. and weighs 5 kg I've no idea what lathe they came off - or even if they're from the same lathe - but it must be 5" centre height or larger. £15 each or £25 the pair, postage at cost - one for £7.39 or both for £10.99 (Royal Mail).

Details: These are two 'boiler flanging plates' - or at least I think that's what they are and that's what they're called! I've no idea which boiler they're for - they came with a car load of rusty tools I collected from a local farm recently. The larger is made from 13 mm steel plate, rounded at the edge (note - it looks as if it's been cut with a band-saw - the saw marks are still visible). Overall size is 259 x 151/85 (wide/narrow) mm - and it weighs 2.9 kg. The smaller is 10 mm thick again rounded (but much smoother on the edge) and is 175 x 94/65 mm and weighs 1kg. £5 each, plus postage at cost (Royal mail - up to 2kg is £3.69 and up to 10 kg is £7.39

Details: A part built Stuart Triple Expansion steam engine, not well built. Bought as a project but I haven't done anything to it. The engine turns over but it’s stiff, I haven’t dismantled the engine so I don’t know whether the stiffness is due to tight packing or an alignment issue. The crank pin of the intermediate or middle cylinder is loose in the crank web. You can see the engine as it is together with all the castings and other parts laid out in the pictures. Also included is a tin full of BA bolts studs and nuts. The drawings dated 4/2/55 are complete except (strangely) for a rectangular piece that probably referred to the expansion links. Referring to Stuart Models website I estimate the total current price of the untouched castings is just over £400 including VAT and the castings in the part built engine approximately £600 including VAT. Probably best to inspect the engine. I prefer the engine to be collected from my home in Redditch and paid for by cash The engine and castings in the wooden box weigh just under 12 kg, I estimate the cost of Royal Mail second class signed for would be approximately £12.00. Details: I am seeking Burnerd Multi-size collets in the EA range for the Burnerd KC10 collet chuck. In particular I am looking for sizes EA1, EA2, EA4, EA6 & EA8. The photo's actually show a size 'E' collet but the 'EA' size is of identical appearance. (FYI, Pratt-Burnerd made these chucks as KC7, KC10, KC12, KC15...etc. which held collet sizes E, EA, EB, EC...etc.)Also, I would be interested if someone has a spare key for this size of collet chuck. (I understand manufacture of these chucks ceased in the 1970's).

Details: Coolant tank with pump, originally three phase but rewired with a capacitor to run on single phase, no modifications carried out so could be returned to three phase easily, the original wiring diagram is folded up in the terminal box. Runs fine like this, have one wired like this on another lathe that has been in use for years. This is the one Myford supplied with the industrial stand and fits in under the wiring control panel, but could be fitted stand alone on the octagonal stand. Complete with the saddle mounted stand/tap/nozzle assembly in very good condition. All cleaned out and flushed through, one of the photo's should show it on test. Just the tap assembly sells for silly money on Ebay so I believe at a fair price for the whole outfit. From a 1968 machine that has had very little use. Heavy so collection preferred (it weighs 13kg) but can post by Evri insured and signed for for £17 or can pack for other courier collection.

The blade in the machine is a normal hacksaw blade and not totally sharp and I expect that an industrial blade would cut quicker! Although have never had any problems with the standard d.i.y. ones. The belts could be guarded if you wish although quite relaxing watching them when in operation. You should be able to see this working if you go to utube and tap in- ‘Precision electric powered hacksaw 001’ Also would be ideal for displays at steam fairs or traction engines rally’s etc and will work fine from a small generator of around 850 watts output.
