Use correct sentience formatting rules, a space after the colon: semi-colon; comma, full stop. and exclamation! characters. URL address will use words with dots between the words without spaces and if the system sees these it will treat them as URL links. So please use the preview, it allows you access to the edit button, to change the mistakes otherwise the adverts will just be removed.
NEW! logo after 10 years the tread board needed repainting, if any remember the old Green text logo might remember how the tread patten ended up becoming the background. The photos have also been upgraded to add logo's and date/time stamps to the images on upload so that the photos are noticeable for people linking to them.

Details: This 800mm square surface plate has been used as a jig assembly base plate but is still quite usable as a cheap surface plate or for continued use for jig setups. It has various tapped holes and some clearance holes in various positions. Due to weight and size collection preferred from Royston (Herts) area but alternative delivery arrangements can be discussed.
Details: Decent quality British 3-Jaw Chuck threaded to fit a Myford ML2 or 3 with the 1" Spindle - the Nose being reduced to 7/8th. Chuck action is smooth, and requires a 3/8th Sq Key.

Machines (Large Tooling) Repair and Spares (To use to fix others
Details: It came from a Myford ML2 or 3, which was broken for other parts. Please note that the Spindle sizing is: 7/8" x 12tpi, (so is not the larger Nose Thread 1-1/8th x 12tpi of the ML4, or the ML1 thread of 7/8" x 9tpi). The actual bronze bearings in the Head are pretty unmarked despite being some 70+ years old!, and the Spindle revolves smoothly, so the whole Head might well be used in a similar machine which has seen more work. The Bullwheel has lost two teeth, but the Spindle Pulley unit and its Gear are fine. Repairing the Bullwheel might give some practice in repair by drilling and filing for someone! (a second Bullwheel with missing teeth is included) Can post with DPD, but if Collected then the 26" Bed with a fair surface would be included free. A separate advert is for the 4-1/4" Pratt Chuck which is also in good condition, and an advert for the Gear Carrier and Backgear operating accentric Shaft will also be going on here soon..(No other parts are available)

Details: Hi All, I never got round to learning how to scrape parts properly. Now, I need to learn and soon. I have a half metre long, 90mm dia bar of cast iron with a 70mm flat on it that needs scraped. This is a paying job for me so I'm happy to pay someone to show me how to do this the right way. Ideally in the West of Scotland but could go further if necessary. BTW I have unknown caller blocking switched on so if you want to call me, TEXT ME FIRST, so that I can add you to my whitelist of callers.

Details: Been lucky to find an early GHA cutter grinder, mines complete but on closer inspection I see it doesn't have the cross adjusting slide that allows radii to be added. Anyone got one hiding under the bench. Also the cutter setting arm is missing. I am hoping to just swop the existing rotating base casting with a new one unless someone knows better... Thanks
Details: As described on the excellent https://lathes.co website, a lathe manufactured for the amateur from 1908 - 1942. Cost £5 and being one of the smallest machines in the Drummond catalogue it is well made and ample for most jobs that are can be fitted in (boring an Austin 7 engine!). The serial no starts with a zero so post WW1. As well as the unusual swivelling compound slide, the carriage can be rotated and locked about 45 deg either side of horizontal Has 3 jaw and 4 jaw chucks with blue-grey paint on the backplates so probably original, and there's a tailstock chuck. The Metropolitan-Vickers motor was fitted to a wooden bench belt driving a countershaft attached to the wall. Motors runs very smoothly and is fitted with a forward and reverse switch. There's a genuine faceplate and a special tee slotted angle plate. The is little wear in the spindle and slides. There's an interest and genuine looking mahogany change wheel box with internal partitions and a brass change gear chart on the outside – unfortunately there are no gears collection only from BS36 – 35kg easy lift, could be couriered at your cost
