Use correct sentience formatting rules, a space after the colon: semi-colon; comma, full stop. and exclamation! characters. URL address will use words with dots between the words without spaces and if the system sees these it will treat them as URL links. So please use the preview, it allows you access to the edit button, to change the mistakes otherwise the adverts will just be removed.
NEW! logo after 10 years the tread board needed repainting, if any remember the old Green text logo might remember how the tread patten ended up becoming the background. The photos have also been upgraded to add logo's and date/time stamps to the images on upload so that the photos are noticeable for people linking to them.

Details: This back geared, screwcutting Lathe was built in London by the Ross & Alexander Company, and is a 6" machine(8" Swing into Bed)driven by a good British 1/4hp motor. Item is a late model headstock with'V'Belt drive. Erected on a purpose built heavy steel frame with adjustable feet, and comes complete with 3 and 4-Jaw Chucks, plus some Gears. Details: I'm looking for a height gauge and hoping someone has one spare they'd be willing to sell. I'd prefer a dial or digital gauge (metric and/or imperial). Only intend to use it for marking out on smaller items so a 6" version or less would be fine. Please get in contact if you can help.
Details: This Myford ML10 lathe is in excellent condition and has had a new leadscrew (with dog clutch) and pinion fitted (old parts available to witness) with an index hand wheel. The lathe is mounted on the correct Myford stand, with drip tray, Dewhirst reversing switch and the correct Brook motor as supplied new with the lathe by Myford. There is a 4" Myford Toolmex 3-jaw s/c chuck (with outside jaws), a 4" Burnerd 4-jaw chuck, a Myford ratchet 4-way tool-post, face-plate, a tailstock drill chuck and head and tailstock centres. Also, some change-wheels and box of turning tools. New belts have been fitted and also a digital read-out for the saddle travel. The lathe is of the later type with the bearing-type head-stock. This machine is of known provenance. I was with the late owner when he bought it new and have the original receipt. He was a very particular man in all respects and a fine model engineer. He later upgraded to a Super7, so this lathe had very little use afterwards, but he still replaced the leadscrew (plus the half-nuts, I think) and the pinion. The lathe was not bequeathed to me but I acquired it from his estate out of respect for my late colleague as it was at risk of being in-appropriately stored. Additional to the above I have for sale by separate negotiation a Myford ML10 long cross-slide (with screw and gib), a Myford fixed vertical slide and a Myford mandrel driving handle. All in excellent condition.
Details: Hello, Does anybody have a screw cutting table for a Lorch Schmidt AB lathe that I could obtain a photocopy or photograph of? This lathe has a 4 mm pitch leadscrew. I can obviously work out the change wheels that I need, but it would be good to have an original to go with the lathe that I am restoring. I have not found one online, nor the literature that I have, and your help would be much appreciated.

Details: Before I start to make one I thought I would ask if anyone out there has an unused kit from Myford they no longer need. I am willing to pay whatever the current value of the kit is. The leadscrew clutch was a standard fitting on later Myford ML 10's such as the Speed 10, Diamond 10 and the Euro 10, but was probably a cost option on all other ML 10's. Anyway if anyone can help please get in touch.

Details: I know we have a very talented community here and i hope someone may be able to help. I have what looks to be Involute cutters, they are in pairs, 76mm diameter, 40mm bores and 8mm wide. Only markings or identifications on the cutters are as shown in pics. The one in pic is PD7 which may not be of any significance as i have various sets marked PD1 up to PD17 but the cutters are all the same. Last pic shows dimensions of the form. Based on these dimensions would anyone know how to calculate the cutter number, DP, Module, Pressure angle, etc, and what exactly the involute cutter form this will produce, if anything at all. These were purchased from GKN Automotive, Birmingham following their closure. These may not even be a Standard Involute form but a "Special" only used by the company themselves. I have 16 pairs of these available, so if some very clever soul out there can help, that would be very much appreciated. Thank you all in advance.
